Therapeutic Approach

In my sessions, I spend time getting to know you, exploring your struggles and your goals and really working in collaboration with you towards healing. I’m a believer that everyone possesses the strength and wisdom they need within themselves to heal, but sometimes you may just need help unlocking their inner resources to do so. It is a true honor to be a part of others’ journeys to feelings of happiness, health, and safety.

Some of the therapeutic approaches I utilize are briefly described below.

Skill Building

I can guide you in developing your inner resources to draw upon during difficult times, but also ways to help you live a healthier emotional life in general. I may utilize techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and others.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is an evidenced based approach that is used to reprocess traumatic memories that may be causing persistent emotions, negative beliefs, and body sensations. EMDR gets to the root of what is causing us distress and provides genuine healing. Learn more at

Talk Therapy

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for you to process your thoughts and feelings. Space to reflect upon these parts of ourselves not only provides an opportunity to discover insight and solutions to our problems, but can allow for an experience of validation and witnessing that our younger selves did not receive.
